With me on hand checking in on your site each week, the likelihood of something bad happening lowers significantly.
Yes, there’s a minimum 3 month period on each WordPress maintenance plan. This is because there is often extra work involved in those first few weeks, especially if a website hasn’t been updated for several weeks.
After the initial 3 month term it will switch to a rolling monthly basis where you’ll need to provide 28 days notice to cancel.
The cost of my WordPress maintenance plans are:
Each package is invoiced on the first of the month.
The first month will be pro-rated. So if you sign up one week into the month you’ll be charged for 3 weeks, if you sign up 2 weeks into the month you’ll be charged for 2 weeks etc.

Changes included in the Thrive and Grow WordPress maintenance plans include:
Each of my WordPress maintenance plans include a set amount of my time to make changes each month.
The Thrive package includes up to 1.5 hours and the Grow package includes up to 3 hours of changes each month.
Done weekly, website maintenance should take no more than 30 minutes.
If you maintain your site less often you should expect it to take longer depending on the number of updates available.
